I assisted the talented Bev Harrison again today (we work so well together and even manage to keep out of each others photos!) at the wedding of Seth & Janine. We started out at St Benets Church, Beccles – what a wonderful church for a wedding, nice and light inside too! A beautiful old car, supplied by Style & Grace Cars, was awaiting the bride & groom as they left the church – the chauffeur waiting with his umbrella, ready to serve champagne & chocolates to the happy couple! We then drove to the reception venue at the fabulous Elms Barns – a truly spectacular setting for a wedding reception! The weather forecast was, unfortunately, right for the day, but that didn’t stop the enjoyment for all involved! Congratulations to Seth & Janine!
I can’t tell you how pleased I was when I arrived at Maddy’s house and the sun was shining – not a lot – but more than enough for me to be able to get Maddy and her friends outside onto the local green for their photoshoot! The girls all looked great and were as, I told them, a fantastic group of posers! ;o) By that, I meant that I didn’t have to tell them how to pose for me – they were naturals at it! I hope they enjoyed their photoshoot as much as I enjoyed shooting them all!
What’s the thing us Brits are most concerned about and talk about constantly? The answer has to be “the weather” of course! And it’s never more talked about or wished for (the good stuff, that is!) than before a wedding day! Although it was grey & chilly for Megan & Rob’s special day it didn’t stop them bravely and uncomplainingly spending time being photographed in Norwich’s beautiful Elm Hill area! It was a great few hours assisting Bev Harrison – and I wish Megan & Rob every happiness in their married life together!
I think snow is like Marmite – you either love it or hate it! I’m definitely a lover – it makes the world look so fresh & clean & pristine – well, before it turns into yukky brown sludge anyway! The snow arrived late on Saturday night which meant the children had all day on Sunday to sledge to their heart’s content – and sledge they did! All day! The laughs and the fun they had made getting a numb nose, and a bruise on my behind from falling off the sledge, worthwhile – I love snow days!
